Celebrate National Tooth Fairy Day on August 22!

Published on August 15th, 2018

One way to get your child excited about oral health is by celebrating National Tooth Fairy Day! This special day occurs on August 22nd and is a great way for your child to get involved in their smile. Even if your child doesn’t have a loose tooth that is ready to come out, there are ways to call attention to the Tooth Fairy tradition. Here are some ways our Chesterfield dentist involves calling attention to the day.

Have them Color a Sign

Get your child excited by encouraging them to make a special sign or card for the Tooth Fairy. Let them be creative with what they want to create, but you can also provide some guidance by printing out teeth-related pictures for them to color. Have them draw a picture of what they think the tooth fairy looks like. Help them tape it to their bedroom door and make sure to leave them a small present in the morning!

Make a Brushing Calendar

Leading up to August 22nd, help your child keep track of their brushing schedule on a piece of paper. This will motivate them to continue brushing their teeth regularly and they will be proud to have something to show off to the tooth fairy. Our Chesterfield dentist recommends that your child brushes his or her teeth for at least two minutes twice per day.
