Your Smile Is Our Passion

The Invisalign & ClearCorrect Process

Having a smile you are proud of is something that will make you feel confident for the rest of your life. While braces have long been the traditional method for achieving a straight smile, Invisalign or ClearCorrect treatment are other options to gradually straighten your teeth. Through a series of clear, removable aligners made from flexible plastic, Invisalign trays or ClearCorrect clear aligners help you achieve a straight smile. Here’s what our Chesterfield Invisalign dentist wants you to know about the Invisalign and the ClearCorrect process.

Who Does It Benefit?

Both teens and adults alike can utilize Invisalign and ClearCorrect to achieve their ideal smile. Just like braces, Invisalign and ClearCorrect can correct problems like overbite, underbite, crooked teeth, gapped teeth, overcrowded teeth and more. If you’re questioning whether or not Invisalign or ClearCorrect is right for you, feel free to schedule a consultation with Dr. Silva, our Chesterfield Invisalign dentist.

An Individualized Treatment Plan

We know that no two smiles are the same, which is why an initial consultation will help map out your Invisalign or ClearCorrect treatment plan. Plan to wear your aligners 20-22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, brush and floss. You will get a new set of aligners every 1-2 weeks depending on your plan. Over time, the aligners will gently shift your teeth into place! There is no magic number when it comes to how long the process will take, but the average treatment time is 12-18 months.

Taking Care of Your Aligners

You’ll want to make sure that your aligners stay clean, clear and odor-free throughout the process. Never use hot water when rinsing or cleaning your retainers, as it may cause the plastic to become permanently warped. Take advantage of the Invisalign or ClearCorrect Cleaning System that we will provide you. You can also brush your aligners gently with water to get rid of any bacteria that is building up. While you are eating, keep your trays wrapped safely in paper towel to protect them from airborne particles.

Why Opt for Invisalign or ClearCorrect Over Traditional Braces?

There are no metal brackets or metal wires involved in the Invisalign or ClearCorrect process, making the trays nearly invisible to those around you. This makes the process of getting straight teeth subtle compared to traditional braces. Plus, there are no restrictions when it comes to what you can or cannot eat because you remove the trays while eating.
